???

OK--this is my blog for the weekend because I want answers to my question LOL.

I've been blogging for nearly a year and April sees my first release. So to celebrate... I thought I'd run a giveaway contest. Now I have a zillion books, but I was wondering what is considered 'good form' in giving away books. I have used books that still look great, I have unread hardcovers, softcovers. I have signed copies of books (though most are addressed to me--personally I'm not fussed about giving things away, unless it is Suzanne B whom I love and want to marry(kidding)).

What is the best thing to put on offer?

  1. Okay - used, in fine condition books if they are older works of bestselling authors (i.e. for me, some of Jill's backstock) are great to give away. Autographed books are only really good if they are just genetic autographs, not ones to you. What I would do is sort of what I do - a small list of books to choose from - varying from new (you could go out and buy a paperback of a much desired bestseller)to an older book like I described above. Gotta go, you won't believe it, but Devlin just had a seizure. It's been a week, what's going on?

  2. I think you should offer ANY book on the condition that the recipient purhases a copy of 'Her Sanctuary'.

Should I be able to view Her Sanctuary in Amazon yet, cos I can't!

  3. LOL.

No I don't have a release date for print yet. :( I'm hoping it would be sooner rather than later but at the moment it is just the April thing for the ebook.

When I'm on Amazon I'll have a party LOL!!!

  8. Toni, no opinion on the condition of books, other than to say that if the book is readable then it is a good gift. I'm thinking about your question on my blog, and I think I will make it a post this week. More later...
