Sex

I went out to a moms group thing last night, a girls night in. The topic of sex came up.

According to some survey Canadian couples have sex 4 or 5 times... what do you think? A month? Year?

No. Canadian couples apparently have sex an average of 4 to 5 times a week.

So the subject turned to another survey that said mothers of young children prefer sleep to sex. Seems like a no brainer to me :) Everyone there was pretty much horrified by the thought of having sex 4 to 5 times a week. They just wanted to sleep, and if they couldn't sleep, they wanted it fast. Fast damn it.

"Sorry, I couldn't make that last longer darling-"
"No! No, that was good, you were GREAT!"

It was pretty much a unanimous spot survey. Very funny and very informative

Ah ha ha! When my babies were young I remember snarling if DH even looked at me with a glint in his eye. Sleep deprivation -- the libido buster. Thankfully we're past that stage now. ;)

LOL my kids are still young and I'm going through that "touch me, you die" stage. LOL

When I get to bed at night I want to sleep and be left alone. I've been touched and pawed by little hands all day long and the last thing I want it is ANYONE all over me again. LOL

I know that sounds awful, but I'm hoping as the kids grow, I will get my libido back, right now, it's gone I tell ya......GONE WITH THE WIND, or the kids or whatever!!! :)

I'm staying out of this conversation.

You see? THIS is why men like harems :) While wife number one takes care of progeny, hubby can follow natural instinct and continue propagating species ... or ...

... hmnn, on second thoughs, maybe I should play this safe, like Eve :)

PS .. Sandra ... did I see on here that you have S. African connections?

DH read this and thankfully laughingly said 'are you talking about our sex life again?'

Good job the kids are older ;-)

Loreth, not only does Sandra have SA connections she is the queen of the clustermap. :)

loreth - Yes I do, I call South Africa my home, lived there from 10 years old until I moved to the States in 1998. My whole family is still living back home in Johannesburg :)

Hey, try having spaced your kids 7 years apart!Just when you've gotten you're libido back in rip-roaring form...... BUT, even though it's hard to find time alone, we somehow manage.

LOL--Brandy--that is a large age gap--Loreth did the same sort of thing. I wanted my babies as close together as possible!! They were planned around long haul flights to Australia :)

Can I get an Amen!

That's is probably wrong for a romance writer to say, but I'd rather write about it and get sleep than the other so....

but talk to me in 14 years when all the kids are out of the house (hopefully) - and I may amend my opinion!

as to having the kids - I wanted them close together - there are four sibs in my family all 6 years apart - it's fun walking around w/ my 15yo brother - is that yours - um no, thanks! My hubby has one too! you can thank our dads for us not wanting any after 30 - they were both 42 when those guys were born - can't even imagine - at 42 my youngest will be a teen!

At 42 my youngest will be 8 LOL. I can not imagine having one at that age, but most people are fitter than me LOL!!!

I can't imagine having the stamina to have sex four or five times a week. When I was single and working for it, no problem. But married? Give me a break, literally.
