Wood

Sooo... the time change. Totally screwed up my day. On Saturday night I smugly put all my clocks forward at 9 pm and went to bed. At Midnight (really 11pm) I turned out the light and went to sleep. Great. Actually slept through the night for the first time in over a month. Kids got up early (excited about a Halloween party we just went to) and I let them watch a video and I stayed in bed until 10 a.m.!!!! It was fabulous--until I realised it was actually only 8 a.m. because the clocks should have gone back not forward and the kids had already been up for hours!!!

And because I was waiting for wood to be delivered by the country's dimmest inhabitant (the man does not know how to use a phone) we couldn't go out. It was hell. Two overexcited, tired, overexcited, tired, kids to entertain until it was time to get ready for the late afternoon party (which apparently I pronounce as part-tay as everyone was taking the mickey).

Sooo... how was your weekend??

  1. Even though we set the clocks back like we were supposed to, the kids would not settle down, well actually the 4 year old would not settle down. We ended up over sleeping this morning!! My DH did ask me how many people did I think would be early (WAY early) to Church this morning *g*.

Thanks for the good luck honey. Even though I am a bit late in the day in reading the blog.

  3. Worked Saturday, slept Sunday, so that extra hour was a blessing, and gave me extra reading time too :)

  4. Par-tay. Snicker. Haven't heard that one in ages. I guess I've been off that circuit for awhile now. ;)

The time change messed with us, too. We FORGOT about it and DH had a plane to catch at 8 so we were up at 4 instead of 5. As it turned out, we skimmed in there with moments to spare because of icy roads, so it was a good thing for us!

Weekend was great otherwise, but it was exhausting. It was nice to have that extra hour to catch up on sleep.

  8. Toni-it's ok. It's where I am that has me worried. I'm in Portage La Prairie today and tomorrow. The highway between PLP and Winnipeg is always the worst during a snow fall.

  10. Hugs on the bad week-end, but I loved putting the clock back one hour. It gave me one extra hour of sleep, and I wouldn't mind two or three more!

  11. You did what?

Repeat after me: Spring forward, Fall back. I like this time change, it's the Spring forward I hate.
