I was reading this yesterday--about the National Counterterrorism Center, the NCTC Article link (and video).

What struck me was the fact they brought in Hollywood people to help them create the space for this multi agency operation. Isn't that just weird? Isn't it crazy how fiction shapes reality? Isn't it crazy the people in charge of these hugely important and sensitive arenas seem to have little real vision and very very narrow fields of expertise? Thank God for fiction. They seem to be getting things right now, talking to each other, sharing information. I love this sort of fiction, but I'm pretty sure the reality would not be for me.

  1. It is ironic that most times we hear that law inforcement officials call shows like CSI "bogus" and that "it really isn't like that". Yet, here for this most important new time and agency, they needed the same people that they before called wrong. Ironic, just ironic.

  2. life imitating art... art imitating life...

    like Kendra said... weird

  3. Just cruising while the computer seems to be cooperating.

    It is weirdness.
