Calendar Girls

I need a calendar!! Totally screwing up my schedule without one. Used to have a desktop one now I think about it, but a big pretty scrawly calendar is what I need before I lose the plot.

Oh--signed up to a pilates course today. Only once a week, but my first keep-fit course since I left Anstruther. Yikes. Two and a half years of slobdom :(

I'm going out FIRST thing to buy one (a calendar, pay attention)--do you think DH will let me get a sexy man calendar? And so who would it be? Brad Pitt? Robbie Williams? Orlando Bloom? **snort** I just know if I bought one he'd be home with Sports Illustrated the next day. It's a slippery slope after that ;)

Apologies for not getting around blogs much. I have had constant playdays (from hell) and tomorrow is just more of the same (sigh). I wasn't cut out for motherhood. At least I didn't beat to death the six year old girl who scrawled all over my son's bedroom walls and then didn't even apologise. Grrrh.

  3. Ames--art courses? Oh please don't tell me that, my fingers will itch!! I will let you know on the pilates!

Bails--oh--pirates might be a good compromise for everyone including small swashbuckling child!! Must look :)

  4. I don't use a posted calendar, I rely entirely on my portable desk one. It actually is one of those 16 month ones. It isn't pretty but very useful. It's called Amy Knapp's Family Organizer and I got it at Wal-Mart. I'd be lost without it.

  5. A six-year-old scrawling on bedroom walls? Yikes. That girl needs some discipline!

My mother gave me a calendar with pictures from my childhood for each month. I love it.

  6. Rene--I have tried desk calendars but they just don't work for me :(

Melissa--she was a handful :) The calendar sounds lovely :)

I got COWBOYS!!! Not hot ones. Just real cowboys on horses with cattle. My daughter chose it. I wanted parrots so DH can not complain!!

  7. My wife bought me that Sports Illustrated Swimsuit calendar, much to my surprise. I say get the calendar you want, and let him have the one he wants. I could just get those juices flowing. Know what I mean? Wink wink.

  9. I have to say the selection was pretty limited :) There was the 'boyfriend' calendar but that seemed perverted as the guys looked 18. Anyway I'm good. Got my cowboys.

  10. We buy a calender by the same artist every year-Gary Patterson. His drawing of the antics of cats make us chuckel every time we look at it!
Pilates, oooh, you're going to have fun. No, seriously, I have a book that shows all the poses you can do without the equipment. I even got Dh to try it a few years ago (when we first bought the book) and his posture inmproved ALOT.

Cowboys sounds like a fun calender to look at.

  12. I got creative and made calendars this year then got them professionally printed and bound - pretty cool. I played two games of squash this morning, back to back then came home and attached the house work - just had a nice jacuzzi though so feel a bit pampered and relaxed now. Not bad for a 98 year old!! ROTFL

  13. Deb--I hope you meant attacked rather than attached. I have enough of my own to do!!! I bet your calendar is lovely. You are inspiring me to start the pilates DVD I bought yesterday. I have visions of getting back the body I never had ROF. I did homemade calendars last year but they were expensive.

And now I have a color printer Mary might have inspired me ;)

    Brandy, wish me luck ;)

  14. I'd send you the Saskatchewan Firefighters Calendar 2007, but I can only afford 1, and that's after payday, if there's any left at WalMart, LOL....

We make homemade calendars for parents, etc. every year and they love them - we'll be in new cities for next 3 yrs or so.

I got a yoga and DVD for xmas so am trying that. Did yoga for a year back east.

I'm joining the gym too, having just learned that my bad cholestrol is in the "you're a walking heart attack waiting to happen" mode. If it's not one thing, it's another....geez!
