Nora Roberts is having four of her books made into TV movies to be shown on Lifetimetv starting Monday 29th January.

Can you imagine how cool that would be? Seeing your books made into movies? Very cool :)

Right now I don't have Lifetime TV. *sigh*

What do you think? Shall I get it or shan't I?

  1. I have Lifetime. "Television for Women" ... they usually have those Donna Mills/Nicolette Sheridon/Connie Sellica woman on peril movies. Which books?

  2. Though shall! They look really good. I must try and figure out a way to see them, too!

  3. Angels Fall
Blue Smoke (which I haven't read)
    Carolina Moon
Montana Sky (my all time fav Nora book)

I'm very tempted. Must phone up today :)

  4. That would be way cool to see my books come to life---just as long as it were the characters and settings I pictured that were depicted in the movie.

  5. I liked Bailey's response. We also get Lifetime Movies which is another network where you can see Valerie Bertinelli surviving beautiful people cancer, losing her husband to a floozy and yet triumphing in the end. Or Lindsay Wagner rescuing her teen age daughter from white slavery. Anway, I'm glad they are making these movies because I think Nora needs the money.

I'm not planning on watching them. Not enough things blowing up. Unless, of course, Colin Firth is in them.

  6. Heather Locklear plays the heroine in Angel Falls - her leading man is an u/k actor. After that, the rest are B list actors I've never heard of. I wanted to find out how to phone up and get the channel, just for the month, but dh wouldn't do it! Party-pooper! Of course, we watch "Truth, Duty, Valor" all the time. Duh...the only one of the four books I've read is Blue Smoke, but Angel Falls sounds like it has the best plot.

  7. I phoned up and got it for the month. DH is away a few days in Feb so I can justify it that way LOL.
The woman in Carolina Moon plays the ME in CSI NY. And I really like John Corbett who is in Montana Sky.

I just hope they're better than the Tami Hoag adaptions--they were terrible :)

  9. I have British TV over here, which includes loads of American TV shows. Lifetime is not on of the channels - but I do get the Hallmark channel.

Can't say I've ever watched it. Doubt I'd watch Lifetime either...

    I'm a Biography/Sci-Fi kind of girl. ;)

  10. Ooh, Toni, you have to read Blue Smoke. I thought it was one of her best books. And John Corbett is perfect for Montana Sky!

  11. Best Nora Books, personally I'm at the point where I like her J.D. Robb books the best.

  12. John Corbett!!! Oh wow. One of the best things about Northern Exposure. I've never read any of those books. *ducks*

  13. Amy--come on over :)

Isabella, I don't normally either, but I'm pretty curious how the TV handles booms I know well.

Brandy--really? I'll have to read Blue Smoke--I too love JD Robb.

    Bails--so many books--so little time :)

  15. Hmm... I don't know if I have that channel. I spend most of time watching VH1 Classics, Sci-fi Channel, and a couple of others only.

  16. Tempest--I like reading Sci Fi and fantasy, but I rarely watch it on the telly. I got this channel for a month LOL. The cable guy is gonna hate me :)

  17. Have no idea who John Corbett is, but the lady ME on CSI NY should be great. I'm so jealous! You'll have to post a review every Monday, Toni! Personally, I love her JD Robb books the best, although I find sometimes Roark can be a bit TOO much of an alpha male...too perfect, if you know what I mean! Definitely too rich and has too many toys to hack around with. Otherwise, the futuristic stuff is great. :)
