life and playdays

Life is hectic. I am getting through by making the most of my time and trying not to worry about the small stuff. We had 6 play-dates over the weekend. I was ready to run away by Sunday night :) However, after a lovely evening watching National Treasure, followed by bed for the wee mites, I realized we had actually had a nice time. Now, as it is the maid's day off, I have to vacuum. Ha ha ha!!!

  1. National Treasure 2? I gotta admit, I liked the first one better. :-)

  3. I personally find play dates to be a total release of pressure. My kids are happy and I'm happy; I even get a little uninterupted readding time.

  4. Scott, for me it depends on the kid who's visiting. Most of the time the kids were brilliant, but trying to keep my son's one friend from ending up (back) in hospital took all my energy. Like he was jumping off the swing when he was going as high as possible... and, well the list is virtually endless LOL, and it isn't like I didn't explain *why*. I was a wreck. The other play dates were a dream :)

  6. We watched Nat.Treasure too! :) Wasn't Sean Bean yummy as the bad guy? We realized that the PS3 game "Uncharted: Drakes Adventure", matches that whole movie - clues, places visited, etc., only it's on some "island" in the Pacific. Hope you can recover from your weekend soon! :)
