Catch-up. Am I lazy or what?

Every time I sit down to blog here something comes up and I have to blog somewhere else, or compile interviews or, or, or... bottom line is I'm ashamed that I didn't even post my North Woods photos yet. *sigh*. I think I'll just put them on Pinterest.
So here's one of beautiful Wisconsin...

Yesterday was one of those days I felt like I did nothing so I sat down and thought about it. I gave the dog an extra-long walk and caught up with a friend while doing it (weekly event). I had a Skype meeting with the box set ladies (we are now available for pre-order on iTunes!), I had a book cover comp arrive in my inbox from my designer (I was told it would take 10 days and it took less than 12 hours). I sent the cover comp back with some minor tweaks. Then she needed a blurb so I had to write that from scratch. Then I edited a scene for a brand-new WIP working title SILENT WITNESS (I know it isn't that original but it is apt, so). I edited a friend's blurb. Another comp, more tweaks and more editing. So okay, no new words and that was bad, but I wasn't as lazy or ineffectual as I'd thought. Oh--and that doesn't include the usual Halloween costume disasters, TKD, or second dog walk.

Today I've finished a scene for SILENT WITNESS and now have to start the after edits read-through of HER LAST CHANCE (Marsh & Josie's story), which should be out before Christmas. I'll share the cover and blurb soon!

I should wish you all a Happy Halloween LOL. Excuse my lack of enthusiasm but blame my English upbringing. :) Where's my bonfire and Guy Fawkes effigy?

Working on this DANGEROUS ATTRACTION box set has been eye-opening for me. Some people think that if you put out something that is so obviously a great deal it will sell itself. Not true. I've never worked so hard and I'm only one of ten authors involved. But it's worth it. This is the most time intensive thing I've done in terms of self-publishing and it's thrilling to work so closely with other authors who share the exact same goal.

Dangerous Attraction--Boxed Set

Okay, so right now my life is a little crazy. I have too many things to do and not enough time. One of the crazy good things is I was invited to join a group of bestselling authors who've put together a Box Set of ebooks and we're putting it on sale for just $0.99 for a limited time only. It doesn't release until November 10th and goes to regular price after a week. Even if you've read one of the books it is still a fantastic deal. Or gift it to a friend! Dangerous Attraction Amazon link.

One of the crazy bad things going on is my husband, a university professor, might be going on strike next week. That's not good for anyone.

Here's some more information on the box set which is available for pre-order on Amazon and Smashwords. It will be on Nook and iTunes (hopefully). We have loads of great prizes on the DANGEROUS ATTRACTION Facebook Fan Page so come 'like' us.

New Cover Reveal--for HER SANCTUARY

To be re-released November 6th

By the wonderful Kim Killion. OK--what do you think??? Yes, it's a cowboy romance with the FBI and mob thrown in for fun (ha). This is the first story I ever wrote and the third time it will be published, but this time by me. The content hasn't changed beyond (what I hope will be) a simple edit but I might include a chapter of Marsh and Josie's story at the end.

I'm hoping to finish editing Marsh and Josie's story ASAP so I can get it out before Christmas. You guys have no idea how hard it is to edit a story you wrote eight years ago (maybe more). But readers keep asking me for it so I'm trying.

Running for her life, ex-FBI agent Elizabeth Ward escapes to Montana with a new identity. She craves peace and solitude, but instead finds handsome rancher, Nat Sullivan.
Nat is trying to hold his ailing family together, while struggling to keep the ranch from bankruptcy. The last thing he needs is a beautiful stranger reminding him there is more to life than work.
But Elizabeth isn't what she seems. And when a murderer and rapist track her down to the remote ranch, they all find out about the power of revenge.
Revenge or Redemption. Which would you choose?
